Calvados advert; Production for Kullados
Hectic couple of days. This week I filmed an advert for a an Calvados company in Sweden (Calvados is a cider brandy made out of apples). To tell the story, tradition and modernization of the process, we were up early in the morning until late evenings to capture the magnificent landscapes and apple farms of the southern part in SkÄne.

High for an Artist
Creating has always been a passion of mine wether it is music, dance, clothes, art, photography or film. Many objects, scenarios around us can evoke certain thoughts, inspiration or emotions to help us create. One can argue that art and creativeness doesn't contribute to society or our existence. Personally I argue that art or creating is a powerful tool to share any sort of expressions. Being a creator or a artist is a way of life way of thinking as any other profession, but it doesnât mean that the controversial preconceptions of an artist is what qualifies an artist, ie madness, provocative, intoxication, depression etc.
All artists are diverse they all function and produce in various ways and their mindsets are different.
I choose on of my top songs when Iâm dry on ideas âHigh For Thisâ.
High means your intoxicated. The result of intoxication is euphoria and lowered social inhibitions. Which goes hand in hand when you are a creative state of mind. I argue that the symptoms of intoxication can be caused by the power of answers or solutions that we create. In a painting or in a book there is a an question that we want to answer or if it is a documentary, we wish for the audience to understand point of view to do so, we are in need of creating a story out of facts and deliver it as clear and authentic as possible. When we are in this process ,our minds are in hunger of each pivotal point that leads to the next answer in the story. ( Conclusion to all this is that an artist today 2014 in not in need of artificial intoxication, some might probably need it, but I think we should have more faith in our minds.)
I produced a mashup dance video with three incredible dancers to one of my favourite songs High For this by The Weeknd.
I used the new Arri lights, 3 cameras one 550 D and 2 5Dâs.

We just wrapped up the final stages of post production of our music video, want to thank everyone involved in the project. As always a pleasure to work with new people as well as my own crew. The production time was quite short, almost a week of production.

Zlatan, Sweden, camera and sell some of those Volvos
Volvo has always impressed me by their quality of adverts and the cinematography has always been top notch it captures the great essence of the scandinavian nature and the great emptiness of our introverted lifestyle.
The hysteria around the singing of the national anthem or in which tone he perform it ,isn't really in need of discussion. The racist hate on the web towards the football genius is quite upsetting and shocking. However the interesting note is that the Volvo advert with "Swedish House of Maffia", which also in tailed great icons with ethnicity outside the swedish nation. Was not received with same fashion as the one with Zlatan.
My battle isn't with the individuals behind their computers whom vomits the hate on the youtube comment fields, whom probably would have written something spiteful and degrading even if Zlatan would have been born with swedish parents.
The battle is obviously higher up, but I will not go into depth with social issues, discriminations and political aspects in this country. I only want to focus on the positive aspect of this advert for the moment. Yes this is a man with  serbian parents who is in one of the most substantial adverts in Sweden right now, (this wouldn't happen 5-10 years ago.) But now we are here I can say with no shame that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the most monumental icon in swedish history, he is known wherever he goes. His nationality is of course swedish but ethnicity: serbian and damn proud to die in Sweden. That is for me, the future !

First scene for dark music video
This week as the snow and frosty northern chilly winds came upon the southern part of Sweden. Our crew started the first shooting for amusic video in a petite apartment in small village. It took a hand full of hours to move rearrange, fill it with props and direct the lighting for the mood and feeling that we wanted to establish in the scenes.
I want to thank everybody, from the actors to the runners and the accommodating tenure of the apartment.

Sometimes I do have the audacity to travel beyond the lens of a Canon and I let myself be captured .Some of these I posed for fellow colleague photographers and some (one) I took myself. Its good to pose infront of the camera from time to time, because at best you do forget the challenge or the uncomfort you have to go through when they say âact normal infront of the cameraâ, or pretend where not here or if making a âlove âscene â and the camera is rolling and they say make passionate love, while the whole crew is standing here . As a director it often gives you ideas how to approach different actors or models whom are all very different and of course in all differerent stages of their career.

Saturday lunch is being served, while part of our assemble, me the producer and author are getting together for a breakdown of the script. We have a lot to do but we did reach a critical point in our production and started to develop the characters further.
